Aloha Hawaii!

So I know I say this a lot, but I seriously have the BEST FAMILY EVER!  This year my family headed to Hawaii!  We got in really late, but Maci and I woke up super early and had to check out the beach before anyone was awake.  Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.  It was so nice to spend it with my family!

Spending time with my crazy family is so much fun.  We saw most of the big island, tried tons of different foods and enjoyed the warm (but stupid rainy) weather.

We took a helicopter ride over the island!  It was awesome, except for poor Maci...  This is the only picture that I have of her, after this the barf bag had to be held to her face the whole ride!  We saw volcano's pouring into the ocean and so much of that beautiful island!

We couldn't have asked for a better trip (a little less rain would have been nice, but beggars can't be choosers), but the best part was spending the time with my family.  I'm one lucky girl!

Bieber Fever

Gosh even 5 months later it is still so hard to believe that my baby girl is 6 YEARS OLD!  This year we HAD to have a Justin Bieber birthday party!  I almost know every word to "Boyfriend", and that really isn't something I'm proud of... but since my girls loves him, I had to oblige.
The sweet crew who came to celebrate with her!
Maci and her BFF from school!  These girls were inseparable this year!  Lauren even bought Maci a BFF necklace!
During the party, we had probably the worst snow storm we had all winter... The kids had so much fun having snowball fights, building snowmen and just raising cain!  Even some of the adults got into the snow action and snuck a few snowballs down a few shirts (MOM!), but I got her back.  Since everyone was so busy running around, I got not one single picture of the outdoor fun.

We were so thankful that so many people came to celebrate with the terrible weather.  I felt horrible when some people had to leave their cars here and hitch a ride home since the roads were so bad, but Maci and I both appreciated it so much!  Hopefully next year won't be so bad.  Wish we had July birthdays!

Halloween 2012

October 2012 (only took me 7 months to download these pictures...)  Maci was going to be a pirate, but as soon as she saw Strawberry Shortcake, it was over.  Maybe in this year I'll get a little pirate!

Maci's sweet friends (cousins as she calls them) Michael and Madi went trick or treating with her this year!  She had the best time with them.  Thank God for my friends' kids since Maci thinks it's so unfair that she doesn't have brothers or sisters!  They really do treat her like a little sister!

Hmmm where to start??

Lordy... I'm just a bit behind on this blog...  It took me a minute to remember how to even post a blog.  Everything is going to be somewhat random so excuse the old holiday ones!

So last summer (or was it fall?) our dear friends from Phoenix came down to visit.  We always LOVE spending time with the Pruetz' family!  Every time our trips are over, Maci cries for hours because she doesn't want to leave the girls.  I wish Phoenix was closer so these trips could be more often.

We took a trip to the pumpkin patch, rode on a trailer pulled by a tractor, and picked our own pumpkins that the girls carved later that night!  They turned out so cute!
The finished pumpkins!

Flying High!

My little brother BB got his pilot's license a few years ago and asked Maci if she wanted to go flying with him!  She was really excited to go.

Getting ready to hop aboard:

The plane looks a little small when you see a 5 year old standing in front of it!

The view was amazing flying over the lake.  We had a great time flying with BB!  Maci loves it and never gets scared.  It makes me a little nervous on the take off, but BB is actually a pretty good pilot!

Nana & Papa's 2nd birthday gift

The last time my parents, Maci & I went to Disneyland, we tried to talk her into doing the princess transformation salon, but she would NOT do it!  We were so disappointed, but this time she could hardly wait!

And the transformation begins...
 Nails

Her favorite thing in the world... make-up!

 TA DA!

So loved being a princess so much!  I think she would have stayed and posed for pictures for hours if we would have let her!  She wore the whole get-up for days.  She even slept in it the 1st night and begged to sleep in it again the next night!  I finally had to put my foot down with little Rapunzel and make her bathe!

She is so lucky to have such amazing grandparents who love her so much and help me so much!  I couldn't ask for better or more help and am soooo thankful for them!  Even without all the cool stuff they do for us and with us, their love and support are more than I could ever ask for.

Cali or bust!

Lucky little Maci got Disneyland as a gift from my parents this year!  The pictures somehow got completely out of order, but...  Maci had a ton of fun!  After her Christmas program, Maci & I flew to California to meet my mom.  We spent the day at the happiest place in the world!

Driving the race cars!  We had fun bumping Nana!

In the fairy garden!  Maci loves all things princess and fairy so she was super excited in this part!

My beautiful girl!

Maci and the best Nana in the world!

We had such a good time with my mom on our girls' trip!  Thank you so much Mom & Dad and thank you Maci for once again allowing me to tag along on your awesome birthday trips!

Christmas Recital

Maci had her final Christmas recital with her preschool.  She did so good, especially considering she had to be the 1st one to go out on the stage and be the 1st to talk!  I was so proud of her, she took such good care of the 2 little kids she had with her!  They all had to stand on the right marks and she made sure the babies stood exactly were they were suppose to!  At one point the little boy started crying, so she hugged him.  The whole crowd ooohhed and awed!

My mom was in California, but her Papa and her Uncle BB came to watch her.  Her papa surprised her with a dozen roses!  I think it made her feel like a rock star!  I almost get teary eyed looking at these pictures, she looks so grown up and beautiful!

Holidays

Once again I realize that I have not posted in soo long... amazing how life just gets away from you. Anyway, we've been busy as usual lately so here's a little to catch us up!  Maci is OBsessed with babies these days.  I seriously feel like I'm watching a soap opera every day.  She has a million babies and they all have names and complete story lines.  Sometimes I feel a little bad when I listen to her discipline them, she says the same things I tell her, but I have to wonder if I'm always as grouchy as she is.  It's getting out of control... we have a 3 baby limit in the car (to avoid numerous trips with arms full downstairs) and they ALL have to be buckled in.  It's cute most of the time, but when we're in a hurry, I really wouldn't mind adopting a few of them out.
These are two of Maci's "kids"
This picture just cracked me up so I had to put it on here.  Maci loves to do silly stuff and LOVES to have her pictures taken doing those silly things!  The other day she crawled into a nativity scene in a store and begged me to take a picture... everyone was just staring at us!

She also has discovered a very deep love for cupcakes, so she begs to make them all the time! Chloe has also developed a deep love for all the sprinkles that Maci drops!

Halloween ~
We got in the Halloween spirit by carving some pumpkins :) Maci loved doing the pokey thing.
The finished product!  The others were a flop, (I knocked holes in the pattern...) so this is all we had!
Maci showing off her fake nails!

My little princess.  I think I have her talked into a non-princess costume for next year...  I've already started working on her - it will take a year to convince her...

I just put this one on here because I thought it was funny.  Maci refused to have her picture taken with her Uncle BB so it's not a very good one, but I have to give some love to him every now and then since he actually loves his niece these days!  I feel like both the babies are growing up!  I can actually let them sit next to each other!
So that's it for my marathon post.  At least I'm up to Halloween... don't expect much for Thanksgiving because I forgot my camera once again...  Hope to post again soon!
