In July the Pruetz family came to visit us! We had such a great time with them and wish that they would come more often! Maci, Kaylee & Addy were so cute together and had a blast (except for Maci's occasional breakdowns)! We went to Silverton for a night, which is always a good time! We got to watch the parade and tried fighting old ladies for candy! We hung out at my house too and let off fireworks until we got caught by the fire department! It was fun while it lasted though!

Just a tad bit behind... April - June
I realize that I haven't updated this thing in AGES... but to my defense, I have been moving, taking care of two houses, two yards, blah, blah, blah! Anyway - so here are a few catch up posts... I think I left off in April so a few things have happened since then (:
We traveled to Phoenix in April to see our friends Nicole (Micole as Maci calls her), Nate, Kaylee & Addy. We had such a great time and the kids had a blast together! I would post pictures, but apparently they are on my work computer... so since I'm on a mission to do some updates - I'll post those later...
We also celebrated my mom's birthday in April by taking her to dinner in Durango (Again no photo's but...) Anyway after dinner we had to have a little treat from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The next day I was putting Maci in the back seat and I saw chocolate all over the floor so I told Maci "Look at all that chocolate - I think it was from your Uncle BB" so Maci says "Yeah - he's an asshole huh mom"! I almost died! I tried as hard as I could to be serious and tell her that wasn't nice, but I knew I couldn't hold in my laughter for long, so I ran into the house and told my parents what she said. When I got back out to the car I told her again how horrible it was to say those things so she tells me "ok mom, I will just say that he is naughty, not that he is a damn old asshole ok?"! I don't know how I held a straight face on that one! I blame Nana for that language (haha)!
I really can't think of much that happened in May - so we will skip right over that month... Ooops except Maci's Papa's birthday! Happy Birthday Papa (a.k.a. Dad)!
Same with June... a few birthdays, but again no pictures so...

Oh those messy messy eggs...
This year we decorated eggs with Loni, JP, JR, Tre & Brady! Maci was excited to do some damage with the bigger boys! They dyed, painted, glittered, colored, etc. over 5 dozen eggs and had a blast doing it! Thanks to the LaBosierre Family for having us over!

And of course Mr. Brady oversaw the whole production!
Who loves the Easter Bunny?? Maci does, Maci does!
Maci loves this guy more than most things in life right now! She was so excited to see him and didn't want to leave. The only way I finally got her to leave was to bribe her by letting her pick out an Easter dress! Most kids take bribes of candy - but not my girl - she goes big! She had to have the whole shebang: dress, socks, tights (yes I know who needs frilly socks AND tights right? Maci..) a little purse to match, a Easter hat (thanks Nana) and a sweater... It would have been cheaper to stay with the damn bunny but, hindsight is 20/20!
My birthday wish!
So this year for my birthday - ALL I wanted was my cousin Loni to have her baby boy Brady and guess what??!! My wish came true! Thanks Loni for giving birth on such a great day haha! Little Brady Thomas LaBosierre arrived 03/16/10, 11:2? (I forgot the exact time, sorry Brady) weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 21-1/4" long. He is so handsome and such a good baby for his mommy and daddy! Maci was so excited to FINALLY get to meet him! This was the longest 9 months of her life!

Aren't they the cutest little cousins you have ever seen?
So yet another birthday has bitten the dust, being 29 for the 6th time is a little harder than it was the 5th time, but what can I do?! I had a great birthday with my family and finally getting to meet Brady so I won't complain! PLUS, my daughter seriously has the best tastes in gifts out of any 3 year old I have ever met! She picked out, purchased and wrapped a new Kindle for her good old Mama! I was so excited! (Thanks Nana!)

Merry "March" Christmas Maci!
So for Christmas this past year, my parents decided that Maci's present would be to take her to Disney Land and Sea World, (she's not spoiled even a little bit (: ). Thankfully, being that I am her mother, I got to tag along for the ride haha!
We drove to CA in their motorhome. I actually wasn't looking forward to the ride all that much, you know - 12 or 13 hours on the road with the whole family - eeeekkkk!! Just kidding (kind of), but the ride was great, besides a few little mishaps that I won't mention here, especially since one of them was my fault... There is nothing better than to be able to sit around eating cookies, napping, reading, watching movies - all while someone else is driving the bus, (thanks Dad!)!
We hit Disneyland for a day, and had so much fun! Maci loved seeing some of the characters and the rides.
And who could forget Goofy!

She's going to be mad that I can't remember the Princess and the Frog gal, but anyway here she is too!

Of course she met Jasmine:

And the best of them all (besides Cinderella, because let's be honest folks - NO ONE tops good old Cinderella in Maci's eyes... But Cindy was off that day, so...) second best was Belle!

She had to have her face all done-up! She picked the pattern this time. I really tried to talk her into a small little butterfly or heart, or you know something that didn't cover her whole forehead, but when dealing with a 3 year old, I've found that it's best to just let em have what they want occasionally!
I don't know who had more fun on the spinning thingy, Maci or Papa?!

Then somehow we found the mirror that makes you look short and chubby! We all got a good laugh out of this one. I think my family could have stood in front of it for hours just laughing. Maci was doing this funny little dance and I know it's not nice to be politically incorrect - but she looked like one funny little person!

We also went to Sea World for a day. We had a great time there too!
Maci hit the face painting booth again! Anything that looks like make-up and the girl can't get enough! I loved the little butterflies though! They lasted at least 15 minutes before she threw her first temper tantrum and sadly they melted all down her face!

Maci & Papa checking out some little sea (or seed as Maci calls it!) creature.

She talked her Nana into playing in the huge jungle gym/playground. You had to climb up huge nets to get to tunnels that you could crawl through to get to slides! She had a blast on that!

Then she found a big bounce to jump in and she was in HEAVEN!

Another ride on the spinning thingy!

We got to touch and feed sting rays. This was Maci's all time favorite thing! She didn't mind feeding them little fish (nor did she mind that it cost her Papa $6.00 for 6 teeny tiny little fish to feed them!) She wanted to stay there all day! Come to think of it, I think leaving here was when her cute little butterflies melted down her cheeks...

We all had such a good time! It was nice to get away to warmer weather and to be able to spend fun times with our family! I'd like to thank Maci for being born. Because of that - I get to tag along on some really cool trips! I'm going to be a little upset when she's older and my parents want to take her by herself haha! Just kidding - thanks Mom & Dad for another great trip! I think we both are a little spoiled!

School News
So I just wanted to put a quick update on here about Maci in school. I went to her parent/teacher conferences this week and they said she was doing amazing! I'm so proud of her and so happy that she really seems to like school! When I was talking to her teacher she gave me a paper that the teachers filled out on the kids' first day of school about their lives. This is what my daughter had to say:
The things I like are: the color orange and red. Pizza and orange juice.
The things I do not like are: when my dog pee's and poops.
I am good at: obeying my mom and JP, and good at coloring.
I wish I could: watch Lightning McQueen movie.
I laughed so hard about her dislikes! The funniest part of it all is that JP is my cousin Loni's husband! She even drew a picture of her family: mommy, Chloe and JP! He must have been on her good list that day!
I am so happy that she is doing so well in school and that her teachers think that she is so smart. Of course my mom has been telling me for 3 years that Maci's a genius, it's just nice to hear from a professional! I'm also soooo thankful that they say she behaves in school because Lord have mercy, she sure doesn't at home! Who ever said "terrible two's" was sadly mistaken, three's are soooooo much worse! I've heard four's are no charm either... God help me (:
She's been pretty mischievous lately. Her new favorite past time is to "moon" people. She's been getting put in time out for doing this so now when I catch her doing it she pretends like she is picking something up that she dropped... She also likes to stick her tongue out at people, but again she gets in trouble for it so if she's caught she pretends that she is licking her lips! She even looks to make sure Nana isn't watching so that she can stick her tongue out at her Papa! She is so ornery! She takes after her papa...
Wish me luck... haha!

1st Hair Cut!
Maci got her first haircut today! She's been really excited about it all week because one of her friends at school just got hers cut too. Once we got there, I think she was a little nervous. She didn't move or say one word the whole time she was cutting, she just stared at herself in the mirror!
She was pretty serious the whole time! The only time she showed any excitement was when the lady told her she got a treat when they were done! She was already sick of taking pictures by the second one! I thought kids loved having their pictures taken????
Finishing up! I think Maci will love this lady forever because she knew all about Snow White (Maci's new favorite person in the whole wide world)! She kept asking Megan if she liked Barbie, Princess, Ariel, Snow White, etc. etc. etc.! She was so impressed that she knew ALL of them!

Poor girl, her cheeks are horribly chapped for some reason so ignore the greasy medicine all over her face! She really wasn't into taking any more pictures so this is all I got for today! She looks so grown up!

The back... she cut 2 1/2 inches off! I was a little sad that the time had finally come to cut it, but I had to bite the bullet and just do it! Plus I was finally able to finish up the last undone thing in her baby book - her first lock of hair!
I will post more when she's ready to be photogenic again! Or the next time she will let me fix her hair (which will probably be NEVER). She's so picky (stubborn is more like it) right now and doesn't want anything in her hair except a head band... Who knew 3 year old girls were so opinionated! It's so much FUN arguing with a small child about fixing her hair, what clothes she's going to wear (if it were up to her she would wear a princess dress every waking moment), what shoes she wants to wear (always princess dress-up high heals)...! I think she's a 12 year old in a 3 year old's body! Good thing she's pretty sweet about most other things!

Fun in the... snow
Maci loves snow, she's so not like her mom at all (: This weekend we got a little snow so she was excited to get out and play in it. She insisted on wearing her "cool" coat from Cole, Nate, Kaylee and Addison!

Uno... Dos... Tres!!!
Happy 3rd birthday Maci! I still can't believe that she is 3 years old! It feels like yesterday that I brought her home from the hospital... she's gone from 7lbs 4oz to 38lbs and from 20" to 39" in these short 3 years! I can't help but take a little trip down memory lane...
